Our mission is to engage, nurture, and prepare adult learners in the Montessori Method and philosophy to become outstanding Montessori educators and professionals.
Our vision is that every adult student of the Montessori Training Center of Brentwood be inspired and nurtured to become a life-time learner, excel in their chosen profession, and become a maximum contributor to their Montessori community. Working in partnership with adult students, instructors, field representatives, and heads of Montessori schools will foster educational excellence in Montessori education.
The Montessori Infant and Toddler Program at MTCOB is a thorough and carefully developed program that prepares adults to become a Montessori teacher. Adult learners will focus on the inner preparation and practical skills needed to become a respectful and competent guide of the youngest children. The course prepares adult learners to work with children from birth to three years of age in Montessori schools. The focus will be the development of the child from prenatal development through three years of age. Montessori philosophy will serve as the basis for all course work in order to prepare the adult learner to implement and develop curriculum that meets the individual needs of each child, perform one on one care routines, build partnerships with parents and the community, and develop effective communication methods with Infants and Toddlers.
The IT program is not affiliated with AMS.
